Hello Angelknitters, haven't seen you for ages, miss you all! Will be back next week but in the meantime this is the info about workshops I'll be doing on a regular basis. It's not advanced, I'd call it Beginners to Intermediates so tell anyone who is interested. Craft Central Enfield is in North Enfield just on the border of Herts so it's all country pubs, nice walks, stables and bags of you know what to put on your roses (well, maybe just the knitting bit is haha)

KNITTING & CROCHET

Erssie will be tutoring students who can choose what they wish to learn.

These are just some ideas to choose from:

All the basics like casting on, casting off knit and purl stitches

Correcting mistakes

Design Challenges – simple patterns that you can write yourself

Making a simple Scarf using various stitch types

Making a Hat knitting in the round and decreasing for the crown
Following any pattern of your choice

Making a mini sock, learning how to turn the heel, shape instep and toe

Making an armband or legwarmer.

Colour work including Fairisle, Intarsia and using knitter’s graph paper

Reading through books and patterns with the instructions de-mystified
Crochet techniques: basic stitches, shaping, crochet patterns

Crochet embellishments: Hems, Flowers and Leaves.

Ask Craft Central or email erssie for more details on the above.

Students can choose from the above list or suggest their own ideas for topics. Contact Erssie at the email address above if you have booked a workshop. Let her know what experience you have and what you wish to learn so that she can bring the relevant materials on the day.

WORKSHOP DATES:

Next workshop Sat 12 April

Other workshops* Sat 22 April

(*Call craft Central or email Erssie for more dates)

There are about two places left I think but I'm going to be doing this on a regular basis so let me know if you or anyone else is interested.
